I'm Back And Still Random

I got a blog comment in my inbox today from Alex that said, "Ally! Seven whole days without a post?! This might be a record for you, what with your frequent updates and whatnot." And it was in reading that comment that I thought to myself 1) Holy shit, it's been seven whole days since I've posted and 2) I should probably do something about that and 3) Seven whole days? Seriously?

So here I am. Doing something about it.

First of all, let me just say that I really didn't intend for my little blogging hiatus to last that long. At first it just got started out of lack of motivation and inspiration and then I got sick and kind of even forgot that I was forgetting about this blog. But I'm back now and hope to update regularly again. And hey, at least my hiatus didn't last as long as my friend's. T...well, actually I'm not sure if she would care if I said her real name, so we'll just call her T. Or victracybendy. Or Whorey Mcwhoresalot. I'll let her decide. Either way, check out her newly-updated blog. She's a funny one, that girl. And one of my only sources of entertainment during study hall.

But anyway, back to this blog. I guess I should catch you guys up on what I've been thinking/reading/watching the past seven days. But before I move forward, I must warn you that the rest of this post is extremely random.

Okay, here we go!

BustedTees. I cannot even begin to tell you how amusing these t-shirts are to me. I really want this one. Oh, and this one for sure. And this one. Also, this one...

(Morgan: You totally need this one. And maybe this one, what with your ring tone and everything. Ha.)

Also, the last paragraph of this post on wwtdd made me laugh out loud, as usual. Brendon, the guy who writes the posts, is always hilarious. It's scary how addicted I am to that website. Like, "obsessively hitting the refresh button" addicted. "I think I need a pill" addicted.

I recently stumbled upon a video of a young Vanessa Paradis (former model, singer, actress and currently Johnny Depp's wife. Well, actually she may still be modeling and singing and acting, but who really cares anymore after you marry Johnny Depp? She could be on the cover of every magazine and win a Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar all in the same year and every girl in the world would be all, "Oh, she won a Grammy this year? And an Oscar? Wow, that's impressive. Wait, and she's married to Johnny Depp? You mean that's the chick who stole Captain Jack Sparrow's heart and took him off the market and whisked him away to the South of France to live with their cute little kids and GOD I HATE HER."

But anyway.

She is absolutely adorable in this video mainly because she's a 15-year-old French girl and what 15-year-old French girl isn't adorable? That isn't my issue with the video. My issue with the video is her voice. I mean, there is "cute French girly pop" and then there is "scarily high-pitched and squeaky French girly pop." I half-expect her to morph into some Japanese anime character with a disproportionally large head and blue, spiky hair. Check it out for yourself:

I am currently watching The Amityville Horror on cable. The new one, not the one from the 70's. This one is so much better in my opinion because it has Ryan Reynolds in it and everything is better with Ryan Reynolds in it. The entire movie is basically him running around with his shirt off, gradually going insane and wielding an axe. He may be a crazy axe murderer about to slay his entire family, but goddamn that man is attractive. He can murder me shirtless anytime.

You know, as happy as I am that you're updating, I can't say I was prepared to deal with the sheer intensity of your randomness. I mean... wow. Damn.

While we're at it, if I had to choose one Busted Tee, I'd choose this. Also, you inspired my roommate to play Journey oh G-d please kill me now.

Did I mention how happy I am to have you back? Who else can I continually refer to by the wrong name?

ever believing,
jdl

Hooray, I was mentioned. And I'm glad that (for the record) I was the one to inspire you to resume. Anyway, I like "Prose Before Hos", because anything that has an "Office" and Shakespearean reference is OK in my book.

Also, WWTDD was hilarious. Like, really hilarious.
